History & Anthropology

IMG_1761.HEIC

Graduating in History & Anthropology with a minor in Art History summa cum laude from Arizona State University, my research focused on understanding historical events from the perspective of often marginalized voices, such as the experiences of women and Indigenous communities.

In History, I focused my research on international History and its impact on modern-day issues, such as colonialism, the experiences of women in the colonial Americas, and the impact of European trade and conquests on Indigenous communities around the globe.

In Anthropology, my research focused on the impact of globalization and tourism on global communities and strategies for moving into a sustainable and equitable future, focusing on heritage protection.

Public History & Travel

My degree at Arizona State University was a hybrid online program, thereby allowing me to pursue my studies and travel the world. Alongside building multiple businesses and projects during my time as a student, I was able to conduct field research for my classes and witness public history projects in action.

Having visited over 50 countries during my 3 years of studying, I gained in-person experience in immersive history projects, documented oral histories, and witnessed the importance of heritage protection and community engagement. Additionally, I participated in numerous ASU-sponsored public history and archaeology programs.
